Since founding H Capital in 2007, Amir Landsman has been a busy man. From its humble beginnings in a cramped New York office, his company has grown into a national outfit with several regional offices and dozens of strong working relationships. Under his guidance, H Capital has developed a gentle yet sensible business model that’s finely attuned to its clients’ variable cash flows and far more sustainable than the aggressive approaches of many other providers of working capital.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Amir Landsman has always been in the business of helping others. For six years in the mid-1990s, he worked as a regional sales manager for Tnuva LTD, a well-known Israeli poultry producer. During his travels across Israel’s beautiful southern region, he forged personal relationships with many different farmers. He also developed a fearsome reputation for controlling costs and issuing accurate production forecasts in a notoriously unpredictable market.
In 1998, Landsman accepted a position as East Coast Sales Manager for Denya Diamonds. Working out of New York, he applied his patented personal touch to all his client dealings and brought numerous new customers into the company’s fold. The marketing techniques and client-first approach that he perfected at Denya have served him well in his new endeavor.
Clients and colleagues who admire Amir Landsman’s dedication to H Capital are surprised to learn that he’s also a well-rounded family man. As an avid racket-sports enthusiast, he spends long stretches of his limited free time at the Nyack Field Club near his Rockland County, New York home. He’s a fixture on the club’s paddle ball and tennis courts, and he’s in the process of teaching his two young kids to appreciate the sports he loves so dearly. He and his kids are also thrilled about the Nets’ recent move to Brooklyn. They relish their trips into the city to catch home games at the Barclays Center.
Amir Landsman complements his active lifestyle with a healthy appreciation for food, travel and the arts. As a noted music enthusiast, he frequently attends music festivals in the New York area and tries to catch notable acts when they pass through town. When he’s not tapping his feet to his favorite tunes and imagining life in a simpler time, he can be found in the kitchen. Over the years, he has developed a far-reaching repertoire of global cooking techniques. In addition to the Jewish food that he has embraced since his youth, he’s especially fond of French, Indian and Korean cooking. With such an expansive palette, even dyed-in-the-wool New York natives are apt to give him a pass for the one glaring hole in his culinary toolbox: He’s not very fond of pizza.
Culinary preferences aside, he believes strongly in the power of good deeds and charitable giving. He has supported the Blacksmith Institute’s Blacksmith Benefit for India, an annual New York-area event that raises funds for lifesaving pollution mitigation measures across India. He’s also an avid participant in SHARE Africa, a far-reaching charity that’s dedicated to saving and improving the lives of African children and adults who have been affected by poverty and preventable diseases. Through the Blacksmith Benefit and SHARE, Amir Landsman has brought much-needed visibility to urgent issues that afflict the developing world.
The dedicated founder of H Capital is a well-rounded family man who looks forward to maintaining the interests and relationships that he has developed while shepherding his company through its next phase of growth.
